YELLOW DEXTRINS

Application: Dextrins are commonly used in paper industry, printing, production of matches, foundry (casting), pharmaceutical industry, and many more. They are used as adhesives, stiffeners, and thickening agents, as well as ingredients used in their production.

Properties: When dissolved in water and heated up to 70^oC, dextrins form homogenous gruel-like solutions.

Colour and appearance: loose powder, light yellow to yellow

Smell: typical of dextrins, no off-smells

Use: Yellow dextrin can be used as a dry powder or in water-based solutions (in various concentrations – up to 60% of dry matter). To prepare the solution, mix dextrin with water, preferably heated up to 40 – 45^oC. Heat the solution up to 70 – 80^oC while mixing.

Packaging: 25 kg multiwall paper valve bags

Storage: Store in well-ventilated rooms with relative humidity 50 to 60%.

Shelf life: no standard established
